The Cory Band has announced that it will be returning to the United States of America in 2016 for a short concert tour that will include performances in Virginia, Delaware, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

40 years

It will mark 40 years since the world's number 1 ranked band last crossed the Atlantic, when they took part in the US Bicentennial Celebrations in 1976, with the tour will add to their worldwide CV of concert destinations that has in recent years included Australia as well as numerous European countries.

Fan base help

The band is hoping that its worldwide fan base will also help them on their way with the task of fund raising £16,000 to fly the 30 players to the USA and to meet extensive travel and visa costs.

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "We are determined to wow the concert audiences. The cost of getting the band to the United States is immense but we are sure our supporters will help us with funding what will be a historic return trip."
