After a recent performance with White River Brass, children from Consett Junior Brass recently opened 'The Big Brass Bash' in Consett and Blackhill Park.

Hosted by a six-piece group, Hope and Social, and brass favourites New York Brass Band, the event was one of five outdoor music shows which celebrated the Durham Brass Festival.

Special guests

The children featured alongside special guests including Les Traine — Savates from France and Bandakadabra, an Italian street band.

The event proved very popular, and despite the rain the children played brilliantly!

Next year

They are looking forward to another concert with White River Brass next year and also hope to be part of next year's Durham Brass Festival.
