Conway back at Wardle

Sean Conway returns as MD at Wardle Anderson Brass.

Wardle Anderson Brass has announced the return of Sean Conway as Musical Director following the departure of Steven Walsh.

Sean previously enjoyed eight highly successful years with the band before leaving to concentrate on his family business.

Connections

His connections with the Wardle band were not completely diminished however, as both his daughters Laura and Emma, niece Louise, wife Jane and brother in law, Lee remained actively involved with the award winning Wardle Academy Youth Band.

Sean has also been busy with them, leading them to the European Championship title in Freiburg and at the Saddleworth Whit Friday contests.

Sean has thrown himself straight back into the role introducing some great new music, organising concerts and bringing in enthusiastic, committed players to fill vacant positionsWardle Anderson Brass

Reinstate

Sean told 4BR: "After several discussions we all felt it was time to work together again to reinstate the band back to its former glory."

A spokesperson added: "This is great news for us all. Sean has thrown himself straight back into the role introducing some great new music, organising concerts and bringing in enthusiastic, committed players to fill vacant positions."
