Van Looy heads to Brighouse

Glenn Van Looy added to the Brighouse & Rastrick ranks for contest assaults at British Open and National Championship.

Following the recent departure of principal euphonium player David Thornton, Brighouse & Rastrick, have announced that Belgian euphonium star Glenn Van Looy will take over the role for the forthcoming British Open and National Championship of Great Britain.

Brighouse & Rastrick are collaborative partners with Geneva Instruments, with the Belgian star a worldwide ambassador and performing artist with the company.

We are however extremely pleased to welcome Glen Van Looy, a world-class musician and a highly acclaimed exponent of the instrument to our ranks as principal euphonium for the remainder of the 2015 contest seasonB&R

Rode Hall Silver Band

March 19 • Following a successful start to our 2025 contest season, Rode Hall Band are looking for a good TROMBONE player to join this enthusiastic, friendly and progressive 3rd section band based on the Cheshire/Staffordshire border. Position negotiable.


Linthwaite Band

March 18 • We are a friendly 4th section contesting Band based on the outskirts of Huddersfield, with a busy schedule coming up over the year, and to help complete the Band we have a vacancy for a 2nd cornet player, and are keen to fill the position.


Lofthouse2000 Brass Band

March 18 • Lofthouse 2000 based near Wakefield are currently recruiting the following seats; Eb Bass, Bb Bass, Front Row Cornet, 2nd Cornet, Bass Trombone & Kit. Rehearsals are Monday and Thursday 19.30-21.30 at Belle Isle WMC Leeds. We look forward to seeing you!
