Caddies needed for Scots drive

Those intrepid golfing bandsmen from Irvine & Dreghorn still need a bit of bag carrying help... as long as you have a strong back...

Irvine & Dreghorn

Irvine & Dreghorn aim to get on a par with rivals in time for Cheltenham
As previously reported on 4BR, a trio of intrepid golf loving players of the Irvine & Dreghorn in Scotland will literally be driving all the way to Cheltenham later this year...

Colin Stevely, Derek Leitch and Steven Purss will tee off on Thursday 25th June on the stroke of dawn at the Irvine Golf Club Bogside in Irvine, and will carry on playing until there is no more light to play a single shot!

Just a little caddie help

Now though they need just a little help from friends to ensure they are able to complete their great fund raising task — hole, after hole, after hole, after hole.....

Colin Stevely told 4BR: "It's going to be a long day and we're planning to do as many holes as possible.

We'll be starting about 4.00am and will keep going until the sun goes down. Our fellow band members will be helping us throughout by caddying and keeping us fed, watered and generally cheering us on."

You don't need to know anything about golf — but just have a strong back and be able to lie about how good we are playing!!!Irvine & Dreghorn golfers

Extra caddies

He added: "We do need some extra caddies though if possible — so if anyone can help us along our way, please get in touch. You don't need to know anything about golf — but just have a strong back and be able to lie about how good we are playing!!!"
