Geneva Instruments international performance artist Joseph Cook will heading into the heart of Europe later this month to give a workshop and solo performance before he takes up long term residency in Norway.
Luxembourg
The former Black Dyke tuba star will be a guest with Brass-Band du Conservatoire de musique de la Ville d'Esch-sur-Alzette and their conductor Guy Conter in Luxembourg, where he will undertake an eagerly anticipated workshop on Saturday 27th June, followed by a concert with the band the next day.
The concert will feature music written by Paul Lovatt-Cooper, Oystein Baadsvik and Sandy Smith, and will see Joseph link up with many old and new friends.
Opportunity
He told 4BR: "It's a wonderful opportunity to perform with Guy and the band, as well as help them with their musical development with the workshop on the Saturday morning. It's a trip I've been looking forward to for a long time, and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy myself."

Norway
He added: "A new chapter in my musical life has also opened as I head to Norway to live and play with Manger Musikklag Band. It's a very exciting opportunity.
I've gained huge respect for the quality of brass banding music making in Norway over the years and I hope to make a positive contribution to it myself."
