Black Dyke set for Bridgwater opening

The European, National and British Open champion is to head to Bridgwater later this year to celebrate the opening of a new state of the art theatre.

Bridgwater Amateur Operatic Society has announced that Black Dyke Band, will perform in Bridgwater in Somerset in October.

In what will be one of the first performances at the new, state of the art McMillan Theatre on the campus of Bridgwater College, the current European, British Open and National Champion Band of Great Britain, will present a concert under Music Director, Professor Nicholas Childs.

Thriving arts

The McMillan Theatre incorporates a 350 seat auditorium which has the flexibility to be used as a theatre, conference facility or exhibition space.

It will support the College's thriving performing arts curriculum, providing a venue for local arts groups and businesses and offering a programme of performances by touring companies and bands.

Ticket sales to the general public open from 1st July on a 'first come, first served' basis. With half the seats already sold to priority bookings, early application will be essentialorganisers.
