Soloist ready to impress at Ireland Colliery contest day

Ireland Colliery Chesterfield Band's popular Junior & Senior Solo, Duet & Quartet Contest is being held this weekend.

Ireland Colliery Chesterfield Band will be hosting its popular Junior & Senior Solo, Duet & Quartet Contest once again this weekend (Saturday 13th June)

Held at Parkside Community School, Boythorpe Mount, Chesterfield (S40 2NS), it promises to be a great event, with a host of 46 performers of just about every age and ability all hoping to catch the ear of adjudicator John Davis.

Doors open

The doors open at 10.00am, with the contest commencing at 10.30am opened by the young talents in the Junior Slow Melody (under 10 years) section.

There's plenty more on offer too — with the contest part of the ICCB & Raw Brewery's Music & Real Ale Weekend.
