Loxley Silver Band is looking to gain 600 votes to help them in their bid to develop a concert standard percussion section.
Successful vote
With around 50 regular players aged from 10 to 80 in their main and training bands they told 4BR that they believe that a successful vote will help current and future band members for many years to come.
Loxley has been offered £5000 by the OneFamily Foundation if they can get 600 votes from the community before the end of this month, so if you are able to support them, why not go to the OneFamily Foundation website: https://foundation.onefamily.com and give them a helping X in the box.
No cymbals
Band Secretary Stuart Young, told 4BR: "The band currently doesn't even own a set of cymbals to crash together and, in its 126 year history, has never been able to afford its own concert standard percussion equipment".
