Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band has announced that they have secured a new sponsorship deal as they look towards the second half of the 2015 contesting season.

Innovative partnership

The popular Old Mill Brewery in Snaith in the East Riding of Yorkshire has agreed to sponsor the 2015 Area champion — with the innovative partnership starting off with an appearance by the band at their upcoming Open Event at their brewery later this month.

The innovative approach will also see beer lovers get a taste of Carlton Main too — thanks to special ale that will be produced and sold in all the brewery's pubs.

Quality control

The name of the new tipple has yet to be revealed, although not surprisingly, band members are keen to be part of the quality control process!

Band President Ray Sykes told 4BR: "We are excited to be working with the Old Mill Brewery and hope to have a long and happy relationship with them.

The band is particularly excited in having a beer made for them and even more excited about trying it out!"
