Broxburn & Livingston Band has announced the appointment of Chris Shanks as their new Resident Conductor.
The respected music teacher studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under Nigel Boddice MBE, as well as studying euphonium under Anthony Swainson and David Thornton.
Connection
Chris has a strong connection with the Salvation Army where he is the Young People's Band Leader and principal euphonium at Bellshill as well as playing for the Household Troops Band of the Salvation Army.
He also conducts the West Scotland Divisional Youth Band and plays piano for the Divisional Youth Chorus, whilst he is currently the principal euphonium of Scottish Champion, Whitburn and MD of Langholm Town Band.
