Following their success together at the First Section West of England Regional Championship earlier this year, Roche Brass has announced the appointment of Garry Cutt as their new Music Advisor.
Title holders
The ambitious Cornish band currently holds a trio of regional titles — winning the famous Bugle contest and the Exmouth Entertainment competition prior to their Torquay success.
Band Manager, Richard Hawkey told 4BR: "This is a magnificent capture for the band and we are all really looking forward to working with Garry on a more regular basis over the next few years.
His experience and knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to progress."
Working party
The Fairey Band MD will work alongside MD Lee Clayson in preparing Roche for contests, as well as acting as an advisor on general musical activities.
This has led to the announcement that the band will be led in the defence of their Bugle title by the experienced David Hirst and by Tom Davoren for the National Finals.
Delighted
Garry stated: "I'm delighted to put our musical partnership on a more formal basis, and I look forward to working with Lee and the band to secure yet more success for a great organisation."

Build
Lee Clayson added: "Garry is one of the most respected and successful conductors and we're delighted to make this formal connection with us.
With his experience, and the ability and commitment being demonstrated by the players, we are looking to build on the successes already achieved. The next stage of the bands development is looking very exciting!"
