Collins takes lead role at West Yorkshire Police

Dave Collins has been appointed the Musical Director of the West Yorkshire Police Band.

The West Yorkshire Police Band has announced the appointment of Dave Collins as its new Musical Director.

The well known composer takes on the role with immediate effect, with Band Manager, DC Simon Marshall telling 4BR: "We are absolutely delighted to be making this announcement and very much looking forward to Dave's input and vision for the band."

The appointment follows a significant search for a new MD to replace Sam Fisher, who has moved to take up the MD role at Old Silkstone.

DC Marshall added: "We have been looking for someone who would be able to build on the extraordinary growth Sam has achieved with us. Dave has the passion and expertise to do this and shape the next artistic evolution of the band."
