Geneva Instruments have announced that leading cornet player Ben Godfrey is the latest high profile player to join their artist team.
After completing an independent review of the new Geneva ‘Mentor’ Bb cornet, Ben was so impressed with its qualities that he expressed his interest in joining the Geneva stable of world renowned performers.
Artistic experience
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, Ben’s CV includes a successful spell at Yorkshire Building Society Band, four years with the Coldstream Guards Band and six years with the Central Band of the RAF.
Ben’s freelance work has seen him play with many of the leading professional ensembles, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales as well as featuring in London’s West End shows such as ‘Guys and Dolls’ and ‘Fiddler on the Roof’.

European debut
Ben’s first official performance on his new Geneva cornet will be at next weekend’s European Brass Band Championships in Freiburg, when he will be playing with the German National Champions 3BA.
