The Foden’s Band has played their part in helping the BBC with its 2015 General Election coverage.
The Cossack
Resplendent in full stage uniforms, Foden’s was invited to take part in BBC2's 'Daily Politics' programme on Wednesday (15th April) with the issues of the day discussed with three members after the band was filmed playing ‘The Cossack’ march.
Despite the cliché laden presenter Giles Dilnot doing his best to dumb down proceedings, there was some incisive political debate to be enjoyed from Ian Raisbeck, David McGlynn and archivist Stewart Green, who were interviewed live on air discussing the recent launches of party manifestos, education policy, campaign strategies, coalition options and support for the arts.

The feature was also picked up by the BBC News channel who also played the rehearsal clips and broadcast a second live interview just minutes after the BBC2 version.
