4BR has been informed by the European Brass Band Association that preparations for the Championship event in Freiburg in the last week of April and the first week of May are progressing well.

Assistance

With EBBA Vice-president and event organiser Kurt W. Bohlhalter recently undergoing a hospital operation, the experienced Berit Handegard from the Norwegian Federation has taken over the lead role, although EBBA welcomed the news that Kurt will still undertake a very active part.

Berit Handegard (above) is a former EBBA General Secretary and was the event manager of European Championship in Oslo in 2013.

Look forward

EBBA President, Ulf Rosenberg told 4BR: “We wish Kurt a quick and sustained recovery, and we all look forward to seeing him there in Freiburg.”
