Ireland Colliery Chesterfield has welcomed the signing of Kieron Brice on soprano cornet.

Kieron made his debut with the band following the recent First Section Midlands Regional Championship after signing from the Rockingham Band.

Experience

MD Ian Knapton told 4BR: “It’s great to welcome Kieron. He’s a player I have known for over 20 years having met back when we played together in Trowbridge Youth Band.

He brings with him a lot of experience and takes over from Julian Holling who had filled the soprano seat for us at the Midland Area and had done a great job."

Thanks

Ian added: "I would like to thank Julian for his time and commitment over that period and the distance he travelled to get to band for us.”

Kieron’s first contest appearance will be at the Buxton contest in May.
