Following their performance at the recent North West Regional Championship, the Milnrow Band has welcomed a brace of new players to the ranks.

Solo trom and euph

Ellena Newton joins on solo trombone replacing Chris Binns who joined Black Dyke.

The 15 year old is currently studying at Chetham's School of Music, is a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and was a finalist in the Brass category of last year's BBC Young Musician of the Year.

Meanwhile, the experienced David Hebb joins on second euphonium, making a welcome return to the band after previous stints as both a player and a conductor.
