Geneva Instruments have announced that they are to continue to sponsored the prestigious University of Salford Ensemble competition.
Delighted
The leading instrument manufacturer has been delighted with its association with the event over the last 18 months and told 4BR that they pleased to be able to continue their support.
The award sees performance students on the ensemble musicianship and performance programme, led by tutors Dr. Brett Baker and Peter Christian, have the chance to form their own smaller ensembles in order to experience ‘chamber’ work and its specialist orientation.
For this year’s competition the respected Peter Christian and two members of the Royal Marines will be attending to judge the participating ensembles.
Geneva Ensemble Award
As part of the programme of study, the Geneva Instruments Ensemble Award will be presented as part of this concert, allowing students to demonstrate their skill in this specialist field.
