Tickets available for BBC Radio 2 Young Brass Award Final

If you want to get along and enjoy a fantastic showcase of youthful playing talent, then free tickets for the BBC Final are now available.

Tickets are now available for the BBC Radio 2 Young Brass Award Final, which will be broadcast live from the Royal Northern College of Music on Friday 27th March starting at 8.00pm.

Presented

Presented by Ken Bruce and Frank Renton, who will also be conducting all the music, the final will feature the talents of Adam Bokaris (Euphonium), David Gillson (cornet), Grant Jameson (Euphonium) and Benjamin Goldscheider (French horn), who will be accompanied by Grimethorpe Colliery Band.

Grimethorpe

As the judges John Wallace, Stephen Roberts and Steve Sidwell make their decision, Grimethorpe will give a concert featuring the music of John Williams, including his theme for ‘Born on the 4th of July’, which will feature the 2014 competition winner, trumpeter, Matilda Lloyd.

June 29 • PERCUSSIONIST: DRUM KIT - Nottinghamshire based 1st section band. We are a youthful, welcoming band and would love to hear from you. We rehearse Thursday evenings and have a well balanced schedule of concerts and competitions.

June 29 • Front Row Cornet & Tenor Trombone. . We're a friendly, ambitious Second Section band based in South East Northumberland just north of Blyth.. We rehearse Tuesdays & Thursdays, 19:30-21:30, and transport can be provided depending on location.


Tintwistle Band

June 29 • We are looking for front row cornet players to help complete our team.As a second section band we rehearse Monday&Thursday 8-10pm at our bandroom on Old Road in Tintwistle,under the baton of MD Jim Henson. We perform a variety of concerts all year round.
