10th anniversary celebrations for Bolsover Festival

There will be a special 10th anniversary charity concert by the reunited forces of the William Davis Band at the Bolsover Festival this year.

The Bolsover Festival of Brass will be celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

Taking place on the weekend of the 3rd/4th October, it will feature a wonderful re-union concert on the Saturday evening by the William Davis Band directed by Dr Keith Wilkinson (above), who is making the journey back for the event from his home in the USA.

Fund raising

The successful Re-union contests held over the past few years have raised much appreciated funds for several charities, including the James Watson Memorial Trust, Breast Cancer Research, British Lung Foundation, Prostate Cancer Research and Bluebell Wood Hospice Chesterfield.

Time and place

The 2015 William Davis Re-union Concert 2015 will once again help to raise funds for the James Watson Memorial Trust, with the event being staged on Saturday 3rd October, at the Heritage High School, Clowne, Derbyshire, commencing at 7.00pm.

Tickets will be made available shortly from Bolsover District Council ticket line on 01246 242424.

Meanwhile, the ever popular Festival of Brass Contests will take place on Sunday 4th October at Heritage High School , Clowne and will commence at 9.30am continuing throughout the day.

January 11 • We are a friendly, inclusive and hard-working brass band, welcoming players of all ages and abilities. We are particularly keen to fill our Soprano Cornet, Flugelhorn, Tenor Horn, Euphonium and EEb Bass positions.


Putney and Wimbledon Brass Band
