Student forces for Brass for Heroes

Many leading UK music students will be getting together once more to raise funds for the Help for Heroes Charity.

Brass for Heores

Some of the finest young brass talent in the UK are to join forces to present a spectacular concert in aid of the Help for Heroes charity.

Brass for Heroes

‘Brass for Heroes’ will be the third concert for the charity and will feature soloists Jamie Smith (Hammonds Saltaire), Mike Cavanagh (Grimethorpe Colliery), Jonny Bates and Chris Binns (Black Dyke).

The concert will be conducted by Brighouse & Rastrick’s Ryan Watkins and the compare for the evening will be local celebrity Gilbert Symes.

Excited

Conductor Ryan Watkins told 4BR: “We are really excited to bring this third fund raising event to the Saddleworth area. All profits go towards the Help for Heroes charity, with the concert allowing the best young talent from Britain to come together and play through some fantastic, challenging music.”

Ryan continued, “It promises to be an excellent evening, and I’d like to put on record our thanks to Geneva Instruments for their help and support to allow such an event to take place.”
