New signings at Carlton Main

Yorkshire top section contenders strengthen the ranks ahead of Bradford.

Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band has announced two new signings ahead of their campaign to try to regain the Yorkshire Area title in Bradford.

Euph and rep

Liz Pope joins on second euphonium with Mike Lumsdon taking on the repiano seat.

Liz is a former member of the Fairey Band and was solo euphonium at Reg Vardy and Rothwell Temperance, whilst Mike joins from the front row at Brighouse & Rastrick.

Mike told 4BR: “Liz and I last played together at Reg Vardy and we are looking forward to now performing with Carlton Main.

Having been with them for a few weeks now, they’ve got fabulous players and a fantastic spirit. We’re all looking forward to Bradford in a few weeks time hoping to win some more Yorkshire silverware."
