Pre-Area test piece feature at Elland

Elland Silver Band will be holding their pre-Area contest event on Saturday 28th February at Brooksbank School Victoria Road, Elland, HX5 0QG. The action starts at 6.00pm

All five sections

Test pieces (plus a hymn tune) from all five sections will be performed by Lofthouse 2000 (Fourth), Slaithwaite (Third), Dinnington (Second), Elland Silver (First) and Marsden Silver (Championship) .

Derek Broadbent will be the mentor for the evening and will give an overview of how each band is preparing their test piece.

Admission is £3.00, with children under 16, free.

Slow Melody Contest

Meanwhile, the band has also announced that it will be holding its popular Annual Slow Melody contest on Sunday 10th May.
