Ruth Palethorpe, a playing member of the Youth Brass 2000 Band, was the lucky winner of the £100 prize in the County Instruments free entry draw at the recent Butlins Mineworkers Championships in Skegness.

No wonder

To be eligible for entry visitors to County's stand only needed to try either the Ray Farr Signature Raw Brass Flugel or Cornet — and with its amazing looks, brilliant sound and fantastic flexibility, no wonder there were plenty of people wishing to give them a go.

Under the watchful eye of Raw Brass Signature range designer, Chris Waters, Nicola Bland from Brass Band World magazine (above) drew out the winning ticket.

£100 cheque

Although, not present to receive the money, Ruth is being sent a cheque by County Instruments.
