Test piece workshop in South Wales

The South East Wales Brass Band Association is to hold a free Area test piece workshop.

The South East Wales Brass Band Association is to hold a free Regional Test Piece Workshop on February 7th.

Lead

Players, conductors, adjudicators and the general brass band loving public are invited to come along to Tongwynlais Village Hall, for an event led by the respected conductor and adjudicator Nigel Seaman.

The City of Cardiff (Melingriffith) will assist Nigel as he looks closely at the works that will test bands in Sections 1 to 4.

Sections 1-4

The test pieces for Sections 2 and 4 will start at 1.30pm and will finish at 4.30pm. The test pieces for Sections 1 and 3 will start at 4.30pm and finish at 7.30pm.

The Marple Band

March 13 • Cornet ( positions negotiable),baritone and kit percussionist vacancies to join our fabulous band. We are a friendly ambitious 2nd Section band, starting an exciting new musical journey with our MD Nick Birch.


Rushden Town Band

March 12 • Back Row Cornet - due to a change in job, the band has a vacancy for a back row cornet. The band has a lovely atmosphere, and has regular jobs throughout the year as well as taking part in at least two contests.
