The Flixton Band has announced the appointment of Jason Smith as their new Musical Director.

Success

Having successfully guided the band through the festive season, Jason has accepted the position on a regular basis.

He has previously conducted a number of bands in the North West in addition to Lindley and Hebden Bridge, and also enjoyed a successful playing career on flugel and cornet.

Excited

Jason told 4BR: “After a two year break from regular banding, I'm very excited about an opportunity with potential at Flixton. They have great set of players and positive attitude which makes for a special atmosphere in the bandroom.”
