The ongoing musical partnership between the folk group British Sea Power and brass bands has certainly caught the imagination of audiences in London.
Sea of Brass
The ‘Sea of Brass’ performance at London’s Barbican Centre on 24th January, featuring the six-piece whose members originate from Cumbria, Yorkshire, Ealing and Shropshire, and Redbridge Brass is a sell out, whilst their appearance together in Derby with Derwent Brass at Derby Theatre this Saturday has all ready generated great interest.
Sell out
A Derwent Brass spokesperson told 4BR: “We are extremely pleased to be taking the stage for what is likely to be a sell-out concert with British Sea Power this Saturday.
We have been working with Peter Wraight (Mathew Herbert Big Band) who has created the bespoke brass parts to accompany a selection of BSP Songs from their entire catalogue.”
