4BR has been informed of the resignation of Scott Stewart from his position as solo trombone of the Woodfalls Band.

Difficult decision

Scott told 4BR: "It’s been a difficult decision to make having enjoyed so many good years with the band.

A change in work commitments has meant some challenging journeys to band over an extended period, and it has become increasingly difficult for me to strike a balance between band, work and family.

I look forward to continuing to play though when time and opportunity allow.”

Enjoyed

He added: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my 11 years at Woodfalls and appreciate all the hard work the committee and conducting team have done for the band.

I would also like to say a big thank you to Chairman, Paul Street, and to everyone in the band for their friendship and support over the years and wish them every success for the future."
