Globetrotting euphonium star Steven Mead will be in Germany this weekend to perform Philip Sparke's ‘Diamond Concerto’ — Euphonium Concerto No.3, with the Musikverein Fahrnau Band, in two cities in the region of Basel Mulhouse.

Fresh from his appearance at the recent Dutch National Championships, Steven returns to Europe for a brace of eagerly anticipated concerts, with conductor Gordon Hein who masterminded the events telling 4BR:
“The whole band has been looking forward to Steven's visit and we're sure our audiences will be thrilled this weekend.
Steven is so well respected in this region due to visits over many years and we can't wait for the first rehearsal."

The programme will also include Sparke's 'Pantomime' as well several new arrangements that will feature Steve as soloist, including ‘Riverdance’ and ‘The Last Call’.

America and Asia
At the beginning of December Steve will be off to Michigan, to play principal euphonium, as he has done for the past 22 years, with Brass Band of Battle Creek for their popular annual Christmas concerts, before embarking on a 25 day Asia tour which includes several concerts and masterclasses in Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan.
