The Drighlington Band has announced the appointment of Carwyn Waters as their new principal cornet

A spokesperson told 4BR: “Carwen previously played with the Meltham & Meltham Mills and Marsden Bands and brings a wealth of experience to the cornet section.”

Euph and baritone

Also joining on principal euphonium is Adam Bokaris, who hails from Sydney in Australia and is currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music, whilst Jenny Cook joins the band on second baritone, having played with Elland, Yorkshire Co-operative and most recently Hebden Bridge.
