Entries are now being welcomed for the 10th Annual Skelmanthorpe Slow Melody & Ensemble Contest which will be held at Pilling Lane Methodist Church, Skelmanthorpe, on Saturday 8th November, commencing at 10.30am.
The competition follows its usual format with junior, senior and ensemble classes, and this year the adjudicator will be David Horsfield.
Warm welcome
Organisers Graham and Jonny Bates told 4BR: "We always provide a warm welcome to competitors and supporters alike, and the event is enhanced by the great facilities, fantastic food, and the high-profile adjudicators which we are able to attract."
New organisers
This will be the final year with Graham and Jonny at the helm before Tim Stell takes over the reins in 2015.
They added: "We’ve had a great time organising the last seven events and are pleased how it has developed into a popular, established part of the ever-growing solo contest circuit."
