The age of cutting edge social media micro-technology has finally reached the brass band conducting world, with Black Dyke Director of Music Prof Nicholas Childs wearing a GoPro camera to direct the British Open champion at a recent concert appearance in Switzerland.

Red Light

As the audience at the KKK Hall in Luzern demand an encore, the MD takes to the stage wearing what he calls a ‘red light’, which is in fact, the tiny hi-tech camera that is recording the band from his eye level.
