A touch of Frost at Brighouse

There is a welcome return in Brighouse colours for one of the best known bass troms around...

Brighouse & Rastrick Band

Yorkshire champions Brighouse & Rastrick will take to the stage with a touch of Frost to add to their musical approach to ‘The Legend of King Arthur’, with the news that bass trombone star Mark Frost will make a welcome return to the brass band contesting scene at the Albert Hall.

Due to family commitments regular trombonist Toby Bannan is unable to play, so Mark kindly agreed to take his place.

Museum

Mark’s last visit to the Albert Hall with the band was in 1989 — when as a young man, an early draw saw him spend the rest of the day visiting the nearby London museums! The last time he performed at the contest was five years ago with Desford Colliery.

I’m sure Kensington will be a brighter place with him around and the audience will be delighted to hear his brilliant playing once againBand Manager Stuart Lingard

Hugely popular

Band Manager Stuart Lingard told 4BR: "We are absolutely thrilled Mark could fill in for Toby. Mark is a hugely popular character across the banding community.

I’m sure Kensington will be a brighter place with him around and the audience will be delighted to hear his brilliant playing once again."

Chance

Mark added: “I’m looking forward to playing with B&R again after 25 years. I may even get chance to check out those museums once more...”
