National finalists Friary Guildford enjoyed a timely boost of confidence before they make their second successive Albert Hall appearance next weekend, with victory at the recent scaba Autumn contest at Crawley.
Arthur run out
As reported on 4BR, the band opted to give ‘The Legend of King Arthur’ an early run out and came away with victory.
They also beat rivals and London & Southern Counties Area champion Wantage A into second place, in what turned out to be a musical ‘sword in the stone’ battle, after they also chose to play Peter Meechan’s work.
