Bramwell Tovey has announced the programme on which he will lead the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain in their concert at the Great Northern Brass Arts Festival at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on Saturday.

He will be flying into the UK from Canada especially to conduct the band on a programme that features works from Malcolm Arnold, Vaughan Williams, Ireland, Elgar, Imogen Holst and Peter Graham.

Under the baton of Leigh Baker, they will feature a rarely heard narrated performance of Elgar Howarth’s ‘Fireworks’ as well as items as diverse as Eric Ball and Freddie Mercury.
