The results of a highly infectious new musical project has just been launched by composer Simon Dobson...

Composer Simon Dobson has just released a video of his latest musical project — a highly infectious, mix of genres, from dubstep to classical, that the Cornishman calls ‘something which I wanted to call my own’.

Good dream

Entitled, ‘Euneirophrenia’ it marks in his words, ‘where he is at the moment’ as a composer, and is inspired by the highly personal feelings of waking up in the morning after experiencing a good dream — the exact opposite to the anxious, crippling, depressive state that comes after a sleep interrupted by nightmares — something that he has also suffered from in the past.

Recorded with friends and fellow musicians, Simon hopes it will see his music reach an even wider audience: "I hope it gets to as many people as possible. It’s not a brass band record at all — I just want people who like new music, done well, to listen to it."
