Foden's gain Audi boost

Foden's are able to keep moving up the youth music gears thanks to Audi Macclesfield.

Audi and Fodens

The Foden's Band recently gave a concert in the wonderful grounds of Gawsworth Hall to conclude the high profile 2014 Gawsworth concert season.

Partnership

Over 800 people enjoyed the wide variety of music performed — from commemorative World War 1 melodies to plenty of ‘Last Night of the Proms’ flag waving celebrations.

The event also saw Foden’s strengthen its ongoing partnership with Audi Macclesfield, with the company representative John Needham presenting a cheque for £1,500 to help the band continue its youth development programmes and initiatives.

Benefits

Band Manager Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "The donation from Audi enables the band to continue to promote music making with our youth band and our annual solo contest, which will be held on the 1st November.

Audi Macclesfield takes a huge interest in the band and understands the benefits we provide for young players and our community.

John Needham and Andy Hollis from Audi Macclesfield visit the bandroom regularly and we are always grateful for the time they take to visit us."
