Bands line up for Exmouth Festival

There will be a very solid line up of competitive contest and concert bands on show in Exmouth next month.

The 15th Exmouth Brass Band Festival, promoted and organised by the South West Brass Band Association has attracted member bands from Cornwall, Devon and Somerset to compete at the event to be held at Exmouth Pavilion on Saturday 6th September.

Own choice

The competitors will be looking to lift the Exmouth Town Council Challenge Trophy by presenting their 25-minute own choice programmes for the consideration of adjudicator, Steve Walker, the respected Festival Director of the Butlins Mineworkers Festival.

In addition to the competitive element of the day, the bands will also entertain the public with 30-minute concerts in the adjacent Pavilion Gardens.

Kick off

It all kicks off at 10.00am concluding with the results and presentation ceremony at around 6.30pm.

Tickets to the contest are priced at £7 (concessions £6) available on the day.

Competing bands:

The competing bands in order of the pre-draw are: Phoenix Brass (Crewkerne); Newquay; Camelford Town; Pendennis Brass Falmouth; Bodmin Town; Tiverton Town; Roche Brass; Appledore; South West Communications; Sidmouth Town and Bideford Town.
