Stanshawe reunite for founder member

Former players of the Stanshawe Band have paid tribute to founder member Ken Haggetts at his funeral.

Members of the former British Open champion Stanshawe reunited recently to perform at the funeral of founder member Ken Haggetts.

The service took place at Westerleigh crematorium on the 5th August, where under the direction of former principal cornet David Thomas, performed Handel’s ‘Largo’, two hymns and the ‘RAF March’ for the packed service.

Ken’s partner expressed her sincere gratitude to all friends and band members who attended Ken’s funeral and gave special thanks to the Stanshawe Band for their wonderful contribution.
