The death has been announced of former Black Dyke percussionist and British Youth Band Association Vice Chairman, Roy Powell.
4BR has been informed of the death of Roy Powell, a past member, Vice Chairman, judge and Regional Council Representative of the British Youth Band Association.
Apart from his active involvement with the marching band movement he also played percussion with Black Dyke.
Funeral details are yet to be announced.
