Creetown Silver Band recently appeared at the famous Wickerman Music Festival in Dundrennan in the Scottish Borders.
First time
It was the first time the event had featured a brass band in its line-up of entertainment which attracts thousands of victors each year, and saw the band perform a wide range of repertoire in the Lowland Links ‘blue tent’.

Wonderful
Band spokesperson Elizabeth MacGillivray told 4BR: "It was a wonderful occasion for the band to be part of. The audience ranged from tots in prams, to hippy teens and quite a few silver groupies!"
She added: "They danced, sang and clapped along to our easy listening music which included ‘Grease’, ‘New York, New York’ and a finale of ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’. It was a great start to what we hope will become a regular ‘Festival Gig’ career!"
