Spreadbury takes his leave from St Pinnock

After four and a half years at the helm Chris Spreadbury takes his leave from St Pinnock.

The St Pinnock Band based in East Cornwall has announced the departure of Musical Director, Chris Spreadbury, after a successful four and a half years at the helm.

Champions

Under Chris, the band became 2011 SWBBA Second Section champions, Exmouth Entertainment Champions in 2011 and 2012 and gained promotion to the First Section in 2013.

Fantastic

Chris told 4BR: "I've had a fantastic few years with St Pinnock but I feel it’s time to move on.

I wish the band well for the future — they are a great bunch of people and I'm sure their success will continue."

The band will also be saying goodbye to Chris's partner and principal cornet player, Lauren Carroll.

Band Chairman David Tamblin, added: "We would like to thank Chris and Lauren for all their help over the last four and a half years.

Their dedication and commitment ensured that the band made steady improvement in all departments and produced some memorable performances at contests and concerts during this time."
