North of England Royal Albert Hall National finalist, East Yorkshire Motor Services Band, has welcomed a number of new faces around the stand.
Cornet signings
Well known conductor and adjudicator David Hirst becomes the new assistant principal cornet to top man Neil Day, whilst Matt Foster-Smith joins on the front row cornet bench following a successful period as principal cornet with Kingsway Printers Cleethorpes.
Chairman Tony Newiss completes the solo cornet row with additional signings coming in for the departing Bradley Hanson and Natalie Morrison, who both leave for university this summer after three years of valued commitment to the band.

Baritone and trom
Elsewhere, Lee Durrant joins on baritone to renew a partnership with solo baritone Bob Morton, a pairing for many years previously with Carlton Main Frickley Colliery, whilst former Ransomes trombonist Stuart Clarke, comes in on bass trombone, taking over from the long-serving Alistair Shipman, who has stepped down to concentrate on conducting.
