Smithills fly off for American Tour

The young players of Smithills School Senior Band have taken wing to the USA for their fifth American tour.

Following a hectic final week of intensive rehearsals, concerts and packing, Smithills School Senior Band and MD Chris Wormald fly to the USA this week to start their fifth American concert tour since 2000.

Concerts

Their first concert will be in Shelby on Wednesday evening (16th) followed by Raleigh, Kernersville, High Point, Winston-Salem and, following a day off, the 45-strong band then resumes in Rutherfordton, Thomasville and Gastonia before returning home on Saturday July 26th.

April 3 • We have vacancies for a trombone player and a bass player. Cleethorpes Band rehearse near the seafront on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Placed 3rd in the NOE 4th section. Other players are always welcome as we may be able to switch positions around
