Band Manager Nigel Beasley told 4BR: "Rob has played with many of the country’s top bands and his signing further strengthens the ranks as we look ahead to the British Open and other major contests of the season.

Rob is a quality performer who brings with him bags of experience that and top level playing excellence."

He added: "The band would also like to place on record it’s appreciation to Sarah Lenton, a dedicated and outstanding player who has held the baritone seat for the last three years.

Everyone at Fairey wishes her well for the future."
