Deepcar star in Whit Friday feature

A great short feature production following the Deepcar Band on this year's Whit Friday is quickly becoming an internet hit.

Whit Friday

If you want to get a taste for what it’s like for a band to take part in the famous Whit Friday contests, then multi-media producer Russell Cavanagh took the opportunity to make a short feature on the Deepcar Band as they made their way around the Saddleworth circuit this year.

States

Speaking to 4BR, Russell said that he had a great time as he filmed the band in action as well as talking to players of rival bands — some in better states of preparation and attire than others!

"It was a wonderful opportunity to try something different with Deepcar. MD Lindon Bolt and the players really bought into the concept and off we went.

It was a great occasion and made all the better by the band having such an enjoyable time — including a victory in the Fourth Section at Diggle!"

Russell is now keen to try and do other features with bands, so if you would like to get something along the same lines, why not give him a shout at: russcavanagh@gmail.com
