Wardle lead Walks of Witness

The youngsters of Wardle Academy have been making the traditional walks of witness

Wardle Academy

Young members of the Wardle Academy Intermediate and Junior Bands recently joined with Littleborough churches in their local area for their annual Pentecost Walk of Witness.

Procession

The procession on Sunday 8th June, accompanied by rousing music, made its way for one and half miles to Hare Hill Park in Littleborough, joined by other congregations for a service led by the Reverend Canon Sharon Jones.

Well received

Janet Emsley, Director of Performing Arts at the Academy told 4BR: "It was the band’s first official marching job and they were superb. They were well-turned out and their music was well-received."
