Albert Hall

The 20 bands competing for the ultimate title of Champion Band of Great Britain at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 11th October on Dr Peter Meechan’s ‘Legend of King Arthur’ will have to impress the trio of Michael Bach, Derek Broadbent and Stephen Roberts.

The contest will mark the first major championship adjudication appointment of the remarkable Swiss conductor Michael Bach, who recently led Brass Band Bugermusik Luzern to the European title in Perth.

Commissioned

Dr Meechan’s test piece was originally commissioned by Luzern to use at the 2010 Swiss National Championships in Montreux.
