Tuba star Les Neish will be leading the Fermanagh & Tyrone Brass Band Summer School for the third time this July, with the help of a group of tutors from the Leyland Band.

Three day event

The three day event from the 24th -26th July will culminate in a special concert in Letterbreen on the Saturday evening to showcase the work that has been undertaken by the delegates.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "The event isn’t just directed at younger players – it’s for everyone. The aim is to help individual players improve not only on their own ability but also to help them in working with others in a brass band ensemble."

They added: "This is great opportunity for bands in Northern Ireland and elsewhere to work with players of the highest calibre and also to meet and work with other people in bands in their area."
